HER NAME WAS JUNIE
We adopted her from a local shelter when she was seven months old. She was clearly damaged emotionally and would not look another animal or human in the eye. When we brought her home, it took her two days to come out from behind the couch, and within 24 more hours she was finally eating, drinking, and sleeping. Love conquered fear. When I’m afraid this condition will overtake me—when I’m afraid my young grandbabies will never know me any other way, when I’m afraid I won’t be

RESURRECTION IDENTITY
When I introduce myself in new spaces, I usually start with my family or work roles. I often say I’m “the daughter of the Most High King” — you might hear me say things like “holding my crown high,” “wearing my crown confidently,” or “straightening our crowns” in my classes. (Some of you might be tired of that!) In smaller settings I’ll share more. I explain my neurological symptoms and ongoing health journey (more HERE), because they’re a major part of my life right now. But

LIGHT IN ALL SEASONS
As my Christmas tree is still up and I’m officially on spring break, I’m reminded that calendar seasons and holiday seasons can be predictable—but the seasons of our lives? Not so much. First, let’s address the Christmas tree – I like it. Go Ahead. Judge me. Honestly, if I were feeling better, I might have already caved to social pressures and at least removed the decorations from it. But I like the light. Those little bulbs are calming; they create an ambiance I still apprec

PALM SUNDAY
Since I am the founder of H.A.T.H.A., a non-profit who advertises in their international publication, I was recently asked by Christian Yoga Magazine (CYM) : What does Easter mean to you personally? How does the message of resurrection influence the way you run your business or ministry? What encouragement would you share with the CYM community this Easter? Below is my unedited response which was a bit to long for their social post (found HERE ) so I wanted to share the enti

SAINT PATRICK’S DAY EDUCATION
We’re offered weird images of leprechauns while people are drowning their guts in green poison from a local pub. Please remember, the Saints we recognize on the calendar are memorialized on that day because it was the day they died. These are men and women who are called Saints because of their service and suffering for Christ’s sake. Saint Patrick died on March 17, (about) 461 AD. Did you know? Patrick was British at birth and his name was Sucat, but his Latin name was “Patr

Standing Firm: A Reflection on Strength and Endurance
I've been really struggling with my physical health for almost 14 months, as many of you know. My ongoing neurological symptoms are debilitating every single day. I often push myself a couple of days a week, one of those days being Fridays when I take care of my 3-year-old grandson, Vince. Wednesdays can also be tough; teaching back-to-back classes is incredibly challenging, as I usually can only manage 2-3 hours upright before my trembling symptoms become uncontrollable. Rec

My Medical Journey
A journal from Jan 2025-May2026 Below are my entries, some I have posted within my private FB group, but they are very personal. So please don't look for formal writing here, just my thoughts, feelings, gratitude, and frustrations. Intense Neurological Symptoms Onset 1/10/25 My prayerful thoughts: · Pity parties need to have an end time. · Imbalance creates core strength. · My true friends ask how I am. · Vitamin B = Belief · God, please reset my

WHAT IS GOD SAYING TO YOU? from May 1, 2020
Dear Friend, Thankfully, many of you have been in touch with me and I'm so happy to hear you're all "hangin' in there." Our Zoom classes together are a breath of fresh air for all of us. Hopefully, this goes without saying, but just in case you didn't know:I MISS YOU!I miss hugging some of you and the personal eye contact and the essential oil sharing at the end of each practice. I just miss all of the physical connections we share during our time together each week.I recogni
